Architecture Tour @ The
Getty Center
Normally when we visit the Getty Center, we come to
view the art, parading through the massive collections. It’s a
mad capped rush to get through all the buildings and see each and every
work of art. The architecture tour at the Getty allows us to take a
little breather and just enjoy the surroundings, seeing the exterior
beauty of the outside instead of the gorgeousness that is inside.
Thirty to 45-minute tours of the site and its architecture occur
Tuesday-Sunday at 10:15 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m. The
Getty Center is located at 1200 Getty Center Drive in Los Angeles. For
more information visit www.getty.edu.

Margaret Cho: The Sensuous Woman @ Largo
Margaret Cho has done it all. She's had her own
sitcom; she's beloved by many fans and has been a veritable name in the
realm of stand-up comedy. Cho now offers a new calling card in her
already full deck. In Margaret Cho: The Sensuous Woman, we'll
definently get the acerbic wit we've normally seen from her but
burlesque and belly dancing? Well…believe it or not you'll get
that too as Cho brings some of the finest of names from the
burlesque/belly dancing world and showcases them all in her new show.
Largo is located at 432 North Fairfax Ave. in Los Angeles. For more

Ed Roth: The Original Rat Fink @ Petersen Automotive Museum
Car cult figures are few and far between. None were
more renowned than Ed “Big Daddy” Roth. A product of Los
Angeles, Roth earned a following as a pinstriper and painter of
scallops and flame jobs. He then began to produce vehicles (most of
them out of the ordinary) and create original ideas for artists, the
most successful being monsters driving cars. The idea was a success;
the sketches were pasted on t-shirts, many of which were worn by the
60's culture. A retrospective of Roth's work will be featured in Ed
Roth: The Original Rat Fink at the Petersen Automotive Museum. The
Petersen Automotive Museum is located at 6060 Wilshire Boulevard in Los
Angeles. For more information visit www.petersen.org.

Taxi Driver/Joe @ Aero
Theatre
The Aero Theatre in Santa Monica pays tribute to
Peter Boyle, an astounding actor that was always in the back of the
spotlight but always left a lasting impression. We knew him in his role
in “Everyone Loves Raymond,” but Boyle was in a handful of
memorable films in the 1970s. In Joe, Boyle played the title character
a bar ridden ordinary Joe whose scathing rips against counter culture
made him both a hero and enemy towards audiences. But it’s in
Taxi Driver, where Boyle left a mark. As “The Wizard,” he
gave Robert DeNiro's Travis Bickle much needed advice amongst the filth
that littered Manhattan. Aero Theatre is located at1328 Montana
Avenue at 14th Street in Santa Monica. For more information visit http:
